Sustainable Food Systems Ireland Graduate Programme 2024 in Department of Agriculture, Food and the Marine
To increase its research and project delivery capacity and to strengthen skills in the important field of sustainable food systems, SFSI is establishing a Graduate Programme, starting in 2024. This competition is open to recent graduates interested in starting a career in the fields of food systems and food security, with an opportunity for unique exposure to work at an international level supporting and influencing policy creation and implementation. Candidates must satisfy the essential requirements in the competition booklet. The successful candidate will undertake a two-year placement with SFSI on a strictly fixed term contract basis. The successful candidate will get an opportunity to work as a part of experienced teams with counterparts overseas, especially in the emerging field of food systems transformation.
Essential Requirements:
Candidates must, on or before the 31st of October 2024 , have achieved:
- Hold a primary degree qualification at level 8 on the National Framework of Qualifications (NFQ) with agricultural or food sciences, economics, environment, natural resources, international development, or business taken as a major subject in the final degree
with either:
(i) a minimum 2.2 Honours result (i.e. Grade Point Average equivalent to or greater than 2.48 out of 4.20 in their level 8 degree), or
(ii) an additional and higher qualification (Masters or PhD) in agricultural or food sciences, economics, environment, natural resources, international development, or business, that is acceptable to the Department.
You must have completed or be on course to complete your degree between January 2022 and October 2024. Please see the competition booklet for all essential requirements.
