Job Title: Operations Graduate

Reporting to: Operations & Engineering Manager IRL & UK

Location: Navan, Co. Meath

Starting Salary: €40,000

Responsibilities:

The primary objective of this Graduate role is to work as part of a team in driving Operational Excellence and Lean initiatives at our manufacturing facilities. For the ideal candidate future opportunities for career progression within site operational departments.

Key Attributes:

  • Engineering Degree qualification – Level 8+ / Level 7 with relevant work experience.
  • Decisive with ability to make decisions quickly and effectively to meet deadlines.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to quickly identify practical solutions.
  • Team player who will work with others and individually to achieve company goals.
  • Highly self-motivated with proven ability to work on own initiative.
  • Logical thinker, with excellent organisational and communication skills.
  • Experienced knowledge of the Microsoft systems – Power BI, Office, Teams etc
  • Proactive enthusiasm and can-do attitude with a very strong work ethic.
  • Previous manufacturing work experience, an advantage.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to multi-task across multiple projects.

Key Tasks and Duties:

  • Work within the ethos and standards of the company.
  • Be Health & Safety conscious and align with our Zero Harm principles.
  • Collaborate with site teams on Lean principles and Operational excellence to improve KPIs.
  • Effective planning, co-ordination, and communication with site operational departments.
  • Liaise with relevant departments to assist in the smooth running of the organisation during project stages.
  • Work with Operations Manager & Engineering Project Manager to drive industry best practice.
  • Effective communication with all Operational Departments between Unilin sites in IRL & UK.
  • Be part of team & ability to take lead in Continuous Improvement initiatives across sites.
  • Utilise Unilin software systems to identify improvements, monitor trends and provide data.
  • Undertake any other tasks appropriate to the position, as requested by management.
  • Be flexible to the needs of the business and travel may be required to Unilin sites.
