Job ID: 77732
Location: Cork, IE (Field based)
Type: Internship
About the Role:
Reporting to the Plant Operating Planning Manager, you will play a key role in production planning projects to ensure product availability for our customers within the required timeframes. You will work in partnership with various departments within the plant, external service providers, and the Group's central planning team.
Main Responsibilities:
In this role, you will play an important part in information management and forecasting. You will be responsible for collecting and consolidating key data from internal departments (plants, local and Group-level SCI) and external partners (suppliers, service providers). Processing and analyzing this data will form a key part of your role, ensuring its reliability and relevance. A core part of this role will involve developing and updating existing and/or new projects based on available data.
Working in partnership with the Planning team, you will ensure customer deliveries by translating demand into realistic production plans and optimizing schedules with internal teams according to capacities and constraints. You will manage, align, and regulate workforce levels to anticipate and adjust production needs, and adjusting programs based on arrivals and shortages (packaging, materials). You will be responsible for the management of subcontracting and direct procurement using Group tools.
This role involves maintaining communication with customers and central planning to incorporate their needs while responding to unforeseen events (delays, changes) by adapting schedules accordingly.
About You:
This role is for students currently enrolled in the penultimate year of 3rd level education. Knowledge of the SAP system would be beneficial. While not a mandatory requirement, SAP experience would be considered a valuable skill. The ideal candidate will have Microsoft Office experience.
As a confident communicator, you'll enjoy building strong relationships across the business. You will thrive in a collaborative, fast-paced environment, balancing attention to detail with a proactive approach to continuous improvement. Above all, you'll be motivated by delivering accurate forecasts that help ensure Ferrero continues to delight consumers through excellent product availability and operational excellence.
