  • JOB TITLE: Procurement Graduate – Chinese Speaking
  • EMPLOYMENT STATUS: 1-to-2-year Grad contract, Full time basis
  • REPORTS TO: Director of Procurement

JOB SUMMARY:

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented graduate who is fluent in both English and Mandarin to join our team. The ideal candidate will have great interpersonal skills and share our company values of customer is king, make something better today, be efficient & effective and open and clear communication. They will sit in our Procurement team but will receive well-rounded experience across a number of our other departments including Supply Chain and Product. The successful candidate will act as the bridge between the Portwest teams in HQ and in our offices in Fuzou/Shanghai.

OVERVIEW OF DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Regular engagement with our oversee vendors in China regarding pricing, new products, offers etc.
  • Organise and take part in monthly touchpoint calls between our Supply Chain and Product teams with key Chinese vendors.
  • Assist with the translation as required
  • Provide feedback on processes, timelines etc.

As well as receiving well-rounded experience, you will also participate in a structured training programme which will develop your leadership, communication, teamwork and motivational skills. Allied to this, you will part-take in technical training that will develop your skills in your specialist discipline which sets you up for success.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Completed an undergraduate or postgraduate degree in either Business Studies, BCommerce or a similar field.
  • You must be able to speak both Mandarin and English fluently.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Strong organisational and time management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
