Summary:
NBCGF is pleased to announce an exciting opportunity as a Risk Oversight Analyst available for a qualified candidate to work in our growing Dublin Office. This position will form part of the Risk Oversight team taking direction from the Risk Oversight in a fast-paced environment. The position will provide Second Line of Defence oversight over the firm’s risk reporting and financial market activities. 


Key Responsibilities: 

  • Timely and accurate daily production of Market Risk, Credit Risk, Liquidity risk and P&L Reporting reports.
  • Providing independent oversight and detailed analysis of Market, Credit, Liquidity and P&L exposures and outstandings across business strategies and trading products.
  • Monitoring and Reporting of Risk Limits across full limit hierarchy including Board approved Risk Appetite Limits, ERC Level 3 and Risk Manager Level 4 Limits. Also including Contingency Funding Plan and Recovery Plan Indicator monitoring and reporting.
  • Escalate and report breaches, exceptions or disputes across Credit Risk, Market Risk, Liquidity Risk, CFP and RP.
  • Contributing to the ongoing development and enhancement of risk oversight processes
    and procedures across Market, Liquidity, Credit and P&L Management.
  • Performing in-depth and timely reviews of risk exposures and valuations to facilitate effective steering to key stakeholders across first and second line functions.
  • Assisting with the annual review and update of key policies and frameworks across Risk Oversight department.
  • Promoting and fostering a solid risk culture and key principles of NBCGF including Agility, Empowerment, Partnership and Excellence.
  • Cultivate and develop relationships across all departments both locally in NBCGF and with colleagues in NBC Montreal.


Qualifications and Education Requirements:

  • 1-2 years’ work experience preferable but enthusiastic newly qualified graduates are welcome.
  • Bachelor's degree in a quantitative or analytical field such as Business, Finance, or a STEM subject or equivalent experience
  • Professional designations would be an advantage, FRM, CFA etc.


General Knowledge, Skills, and Experience:

  • Good understanding of securities financing transactions and derivatives.
  • Financial risk knowledge (credit/market/liquidity risks).
  • Risk and valuation models: sensitivities, VaR, stress testing and scenario analysis.
  • Well-developed analytical skills.
  • Clear and effective communicator in both written and verbal communication.
  • Proficient in MS Office applications (PowerPoint, Word, Excel).
  • Experience with VBA, Bloomberg and/or Python would be an asset.
