Role Overview:
As a Risk Oversight Intern, you will receive comprehensive on-the-job training, working alongside a variety of experienced risk professionals across Liquidity, Credit, Market and P&L Risk. You will have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience within a dynamic risk management and trading environment in NBC Global Finance. Trading activities include fixed income, equities, repo, stock loan, total return swaps, futures, options and a variety of derivatives.
You will have the opportunity to contribute to meaningful projects, collaborate across different teams, and develop a deep understanding of risk management and trading products.
Main Responsibilities:
- You will get exposure to a range of tasks and responsibilities. Your duties may include, but are not limited to:
- Monitoring and Reporting across key risk areas of Liquidity Risk, Market Risk, Credit Risk and P&L: Work closely with colleagues across Front Office, Operations and Risk Oversight in managing risk exposure and day on day changes.
- Collaborating on new developments and enhancements: Work alongside colleagues on projects and the ongoing development, growth and enhancement of risk processes and procedures.
- Analysis and reconciliations: Assist in identifying key drivers in risk exposure across trading products and strategies and thereby providing Front Office with valuable insights for trade execution and risk reduction.
- Cross-department Co-operation: Opportunity to work with colleagues across Front Office, Operations, Regulatory, Legal and other departments to build out experience and expertise.
