Seasonal Guide Information Officer

The Office of Public
Works is
seeking interested people to join our
Guiding Team for the 2027 Season and seek your assistance in bringing this
to a wider audience.

The
Heritage Guide position is an
important one, with our guides representing the public face of the OPW and
showcasing Ireland’s most iconic heritage sites. We offer various opportunities
for guiding staff at a number of sites nationwide,
with contracts of varying lengths and also to cover the peak summer months. Recruitment
for the 2027 Season will be done on a phased basis.

 Our
positions may be of particular interest to students
of Heritage, History, Architecture, Irish language (for our Irish speaking
sites) and Archaeology to name but a few.  The positions may also be
of interest to people who enjoy meeting people from various parts of the world
and those who enjoy public speaking.

Our
recruitment for this phase commences on Friday, 25th September, with the closing date Friday, 16th October 2026.
