Placement Overview

We are offering a hands-on student placement opportunity for aspiring civil engineers or construction managers to join our team and gain valuable site-based experience. This role is ideal for students seeking exposure to real-world engineering challenges while working on some of the largest Civil Engineering projects in Ireland. 

Key Responsibilities: 

• Support the site engineering team with setting out, surveying, and quality control.
• Assist in the preparation of method statements, risk assessments, and daily site reports.
• Help coordinate subcontractors, materials deliveries, and site logistics.
• Attend site meetings and participate in project planning and progress reviews.
• Ensure adherence to Wills Bros safety procedures and contribute to a positive safety culture.
• Maintain accurate records, drawings, and other project documentation.
• Engage with multiple aspects of project delivery, from earthworks and drainage to concrete structures and utilities.

Candidate Requirements:

• Enrolled in a degree programme in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Environmental Engineering or a related discipline.
• Strong work ethic with enthusiasm to learn and adapt on site.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office; knowledge of AutoCAD or similar software is an advantage.
• Willingness to travel or relocate to project sites around Ireland.
