Role Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for contributing to the team through best-in-class sourcing practices and by adhering to best practice procedures, delivering a quality service, maximising value for money and cost efficiencies on behalf of the Group.

The successful candidate will be based at our Group Offices in Grannagh, Waterford and will support & be responsible for:

  • Supporting the Group Strategic Procurement Manager for a variety of categories ;
  • Supporting the Snr Category Buyers with Ingredients, Packaging, Services and Ethical Trade objectives
  • Supporting Cross functional teams with their project objectives;
  • Promoting best procurement practises across the Group;
  • Development of sourcing strategies;
  • Development of risk mitigation strategies;
  • Researching and Prequalifying new suppliers;
  • Researching & Analysing new potential projects;
  • Following market trends to identify products which are fit for purpose;
  • Preparing tender documentation & analysing responses;
  • Negotiating prices with suppliers;
  • Managing supplier relationships;
  • Resolving Disputes & claims with suppliers;
  • Keep approved supplier product programs up to date;
  • Involved in reviewing contracts & terms of sale;
  • Involved in KPI performance management of suppliers
  • Preparing reports & reporting to Senior Managers & Executives;
  • Project Deployment & Managing Change;
  • Project Managing Categories.

Your role will see you tackle a wide range of business challenges in a busy and changing environment.

The ideal Candidate will have or can demonstrate:

  • Relevant 3rd level qualification in Procurement, Supply Chain or
    Business is beneficial;
  • The ability to build and maintain good team and cross functional
    relationships;
  • The ability both written and verbal to clearly communicate to the
    relevant stakeholders;
  • The ability to lead by example and develop other team members;
  • The ability to focus on continuous improvement and implementation of
    problem solving techniques;
  • The ability to implement good follow up and control in all aspects of
    the role;
  • The ability to plan, schedule and organise priority tasks as
    necessary;
  • Some Supply Chain knowledge;
  • Some Project Management knowledge.
  • IT proficient to an advanced standard in Microsoft Office and in
    particular Microsoft Excel;

  • Stock control or inventory management
  • Despatch / Intakes or logistic management
