Main Duties and Responsibilities:
The successful candidate will be keen to pursue a professional accountancy qualification (CPA, ACCA) while working in a fast-paced organisation.
- Degree qualified graduate - business or accounting
- Computer literate - Microsoft office - high level skills in excel essential
- Excellent communication skills and professional demeanour
- Hardworking and flexible with the ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
- Highly organized individual with excellent attention to detail and great accuracy
- A self-starter with the ability to work on own initiative in a busy, results-driven environment
- Individual must be willing to travel
- An understanding of Profit and Loss and Balance Sheet interrelationship would be valuable but not essential
Responsibilities:
- Performing detailed research to understand tax law and keep up with the latest changes in legislation.
- Liaising with clients to get information and help explain their options.
- Communicating with the Office of the Revenue Commissioners.
- Analysing and completing tax forms.
- Performing an audit on the tax records.
- Producing presentations and reports.
- To assist the financial controller in ensuring that the accounting records are properly controlled, reported upon and ensuring that they comply with relevant accounting standards.
- Participate (as directed) in the performance and on-going enhancements to the daily financial accounting control environment including the performance of specific designated reconciliations, preparation of manual accounting batches etc.
- Ensure appropriate documented files are maintained and filed for later review by Auditor
