The Role - Tax Trainee

Your role during your time in Beechwood Partners will incorporate:

  • Income tax advisory and compliance
  • Preparation of annual accounts for both sole traders and Irish resident companies
  • Financial management and planning including the preparation of cashflow projections, statements of net worth and investment policy statements
  • Corporation tax advisory and compliance
  • Bi-monthly VAT returns for Irish professionals, companies and investment vehicles
  • Ad hoc consultancy including the preparation of tax memos
  • Dealing with Revenue directly on behalf of clients
  • Research and analysis of Revenue legislation and publications

Our graduate programme is based around on-the-job training so trainees build knowledge and gain experience with each challenge they face. The successful candidate will progress towards achieving either the Irish Associate Taxation Institute Chartered Tax Adviser (CTA) or Chartered Accountants Ireland Associate of Chartered Accountancy (ACA) qualification over three years.

The Candidate

We are seeking high calibre graduates who wish to pursue a career in tax, accountancy and financial planning who meet the following criteria:

  • Have an excellent academic record, degree result (actual or expected) of 2.1 or higher.
  • Genuinely interested in pursuing a career in financial services
  • Eager to work in a client facing role with a particular emphasis on managing your own book of clients from initial contact to billing
  • Capable of working on your own initiative
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel would be a distinct advantage

An excellent remuneration package will be offered to successful candidates as well as a full study package including registration fees, internal support and study leave. The individual will also be faced with genuine opportunities for career progression within the firm on completion of the training contract.
