The Role
publicjobs is recruiting high calibre graduates for the Irish diplomatic service who will contribute to the development and implementation of Ireland’s foreign policy and in representing, promoting and protecting the interests, values and economic well-being of Ireland and its citizens.
A diplomatic officer can expect to work at headquarters in Dublin or Limerick, as well as at a number of Irish embassies, consulates and multilateral missions abroad. Serving in missions abroad is an integral part of the work of a Third Secretary in the Department of Foreign Affairs.
Applicants must, on or before the closing date of 8th August 2024, hold a first or second class honours degree (minimum of Level 8 on the National Framework of Qualifications) or have qualified as a Solicitor or as a Barrister.
The competition is only open to Irish citizens.
