Role Overview
BnM is seeking Trainee Accountant Graduates to join its team in Newbridge on a fixed term contract; two positions are available. The programme is supported by BnM to complete the Chartered Accountant (ACA) qualification over a period of 3-4 years, depending on exemptions. It provides work experience rotations across various finance teams within BnM, with paid exam fees and study leave.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the line manager and other members of the Finance team in delivering assigned tasks and projects, including month-end and year-end, applying the theory from ACA studies in practice so that all prescribed competencies are achieved under the development framework.
- Take an active part in the ACA training programme and the Graduate Development workshops, and keep your CA diary, which documents the required trainee accountant work experience, completed and reviewed regularly.
- Assist other finance team members with tasks, proactively seeking opportunities to improve and expand your knowledge and skills, and aim to take ownership of more complicated tasks as you progress.
- Engage regularly with your assigned mentor to improve your knowledge of the organisation and identify key areas for development, and build a network of contacts across the organisation through experience with different finance teams.
- All employees are expected to co-operate fully with the company’s provisions for ensuring the health, safety and welfare of co-employees and members of the public using the premises, and to participate proactively in the Performance Management process.
What We’re Looking For
- Level 8 degree in Accountancy, Business or a related discipline
- Competence in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word and PowerPoint
- Ability to work effectively and efficiently, both independently and as part of a team
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills

BnM’s Graduate Programme is a two-year programme aimed at developing a new generation of ambitious, creative and future-focused professionals in areas aligned to BnM’s climate solutions focus, such as sustainability, climate targets, renewable energy and carbon storage.
