Horse Racing Ireland is the national authority for thoroughbred racing in Ireland, with responsibility for the governance, development and promotion of the industry under the Horse and Greyhound Racing Act 2001.
Based in Newbridge, Co. Kildare we employ approximately 200 people on a permanent basis. We also own and operate a number of subsidiaries:
Racecourses
Fairyhouse Racecourse
is one of Irelands leading racecourses, hosting 39 race meetings throughout the year, including several high-profile races over both the Flat and National Hunt seasons.
Leopardstown Racecourse
is one of the premier racecourses in Europe hosting top class racing and major events all year round.
Navan Racecourse
is another of Irelands leading racecourses and hosts c. 18 race meetings throughout the year, including a number of high profile races over both the Flat and National Hunt seasons.
Tipperary Racecourse
offers a mixture of top-class jump and flat racing and hosts a number of popular summer evening meetings.
Irish Thoroughbred Marketing (ITM)
who are responsible for the promotion of the Irish thoroughbred horse internationally.
Tote Ireland Limited
operates Ireland's only pool betting system for horse racing. Tote Ireland operate betting services at all 26 racecourses in Ireland.
About our Thoroughbred Talents Graduate Programme
Our graduate programme is a two-year programme which will give you the opportunity to gain experience across many aspects of the racing industry.
The programme will be broken down into streams, with programme streams offering a rotational experience across different areas.
This is a fantastic opportunity for anyone who is interested in developing a career in the horseracing industry and
will commence in September 2025.
