Building Nap OS, a Workforce Operating System helping people turn real project work into verified experience and employment opportunities.
Who we are
Napblog Limited is an Irish technology company building Nap OS, a Workforce Operating System designed to help people build, demonstrate and verify real-world work capability.
The traditional graduate hiring model creates a difficult Catch-22: employers often ask for experience, while graduates need employment to gain that experience. Nap OS is exploring a different approach — Project-Based Hiring.
Through Nap OS, students, graduates and emerging professionals can participate in structured, practical projects and build tangible evidence of what they can actually do. Their project work can become part of a professional portfolio and, where applicable, be reviewed and verified.
We believe the future of employability should move beyond simply asking candidates what they have done. It should create opportunities for people to show what they can do.
Our work sits at the intersection of workforce technology, employability, project-based learning and recruitment.
Nap OS is being developed as an ecosystem where:
People → build capability through projects → create evidence → verify their work → become more discoverable for opportunities.
For employers, the longer-term vision is to make project execution part of the talent discovery and hiring process — helping organisations identify potential based on demonstrated capability rather than relying exclusively on CVs and previous job titles.
We are an early-stage company and a highly hands-on environment. Joining Napblog/Nap OS means contributing to a product that is still being shaped, tested and improved with users.
If you want to work on a real technology product and contribute to solving the “no experience” problem, we would like to hear from you.
Culture and values
At Napblog/Nap OS, we value initiative, ownership, curiosity, evidence and continuous learning.
We are building an early-stage technology company, so our culture is different from a large established organisation. People are encouraged to take ownership of meaningful work, ask questions, experiment, learn quickly and contribute ideas rather than simply wait for instructions.
Our core values include:
- Ownership — Take responsibility for your work and follow through on commitments.
- Curiosity — Ask why, explore new approaches and continuously develop your understanding.
- Execution — Ideas matter, but we place particular value on turning ideas into tangible outcomes.
- Evidence — We believe capability should be demonstrated through real work and measurable outputs wherever possible.
- Learning — Mistakes and iteration are part of building an early-stage company. We encourage people to learn from feedback and improve.
- Collaboration — Nap OS brings together people from different backgrounds, disciplines and levels of experience. We value respectful collaboration and knowledge sharing.
- Impact — Our work is connected to a real problem: helping people overcome barriers created by the traditional experience-based hiring model.
We are particularly interested in applicants who are comfortable with ambiguity, willing to learn independently and excited by the opportunity to contribute to something being built from an early stage.

Your recruitment process
Our recruitment process is designed to understand both a candidate's potential and their ability to contribute to the specific role.
The typical process is:
1. Application
Candidates submit their CV/profile and relevant information about their interests, skills, education and experience.
2. Initial review
We review applications against the requirements of the specific opportunity. We consider transferable skills and potential, not only previous employment experience.
3. Conversation
Shortlisted candidates may be invited to an initial conversation to understand their goals, interests, availability and suitability for the opportunity.
4. Role/project discussion
Depending on the position, candidates may discuss a practical project, task or proposed responsibilities relevant to the role.
5. Selection
We assess the overall fit between the candidate, the opportunity and the team's current requirements.
6. Onboarding
Successful candidates receive information about their responsibilities, objectives, communication channels and expected outputs before beginning their work.
As an early-stage company, recruitment timelines can vary depending on the role and business requirements. We aim to communicate clearly with candidates throughout the process.
Equality and diversity
Napblog/Nap OS is committed to creating an inclusive environment where people from different backgrounds can contribute, learn and develop.
We believe talent should not be defined solely by traditional career pathways. People can develop valuable capability through education, projects, volunteering, entrepreneurship, self-directed learning and other forms of experience.
Our approach to Project-Based Hiring is built around the principle that candidates should have opportunities to demonstrate capability, rather than being judged exclusively by previous job titles or years of experience.
We welcome applications from people with different educational, cultural, professional and personal backgrounds and seek to ensure that selection decisions are based on relevant skills, potential, experience and suitability for the opportunity.
We are committed to treating candidates and team members with respect and dignity and do not tolerate discrimination or harassment.
We are particularly interested in creating opportunities for students and graduates who may face the traditional “no experience” Catch-22 and need opportunities to demonstrate their capabilities through meaningful work.
Wellbeing
As an early-stage company, we recognise that wellbeing is important to sustainable performance and learning.
We aim to create a working environment where people can communicate openly about workload, expectations and challenges. Clear project objectives, regular communication and feedback help team members understand what is expected of them and where they can seek support.
We encourage people to maintain a healthy balance between work, study and other commitments, particularly where opportunities are undertaken alongside education.
We also recognise that early-stage environments can involve uncertainty and changing priorities. We aim to address this through clear communication, realistic expectations and regular check-ins.
Candidates and team members are encouraged to raise concerns early so that appropriate adjustments or support can be considered.
Personal development
Personal development is central to the Nap OS approach.
We believe early-career professionals develop most effectively when they have opportunities to work on meaningful problems and receive feedback on their work.
Depending on the role, team members may have opportunities to:
- Work on real projects rather than purely simulated exercises
- Develop role-specific technical and professional skills
- Build tangible portfolio evidence from completed work
- Receive project guidance and feedback
- Develop communication, collaboration and problem-solving skills
- Learn about entrepreneurship and early-stage technology development
- Work across disciplines and understand how different functions contribute to building a company
- Develop experience in areas such as technology, AI, marketing, research, sales, recruitment and business development
Our Nap OS Incubate initiative also explores opportunities for young aspiring entrepreneurs to develop ideas through structured projects, guidance and practical execution.
Our goal is not simply to give someone another line on their CV. It is to help them leave a project with evidence of what they learned, what they contributed and what they can do.
Sustainability
Napblog/Nap OS approaches sustainability from both a social and economic perspective.
Our core mission is connected to creating a more sustainable pathway into employment by addressing the experience gap faced by students and graduates.
The traditional model can leave people unable to gain experience because they have not yet secured employment. We are exploring how structured project-based work can create an additional pathway for people to build capability and evidence before entering the traditional workforce.
Through Nap OS, we aim to support a more sustainable workforce ecosystem in which people can continuously develop capabilities, demonstrate their contribution and build professional evidence over time.
We are also interested in entrepreneurship and innovation as mechanisms for creating sustainable economic opportunities. Through Nap OS Incubate, we are exploring ways to support aspiring entrepreneurs in turning ideas into practical projects and ventures.
As the company develops, we will continue to examine how our technology, operations and partnerships can contribute to responsible and sustainable workforce development.
