What to expect from the Entity Governance & Compliance tax role?
The Entity Governance and Compliance team consists of approximately twenty professionals consisting of qualified and part qualified Chartered Governance Institute professionals who specialise in the provision of high quality outsourced company secretarial and governance services to clients. We also work as part of a global team on cross country projects so there is great scope for integration on a global scale.
This is a company secretarial / governance role and an opportunity to join a dynamic team in a growing department in PwC involving the provision of company secretarial and governance services to a broad client base across a range of industries. The Entity Governance and Compliance team sits within the tax services practice and has many common clients.
We are looking for candidates who are enthusiastic, versatile and keen to enhance their company secretarial, governance and overall business skills. The candidate will work with the in-house Diligent package and a number of bespoke PwC applications. It is expected that the candidate will build strong relationships with both clients, colleagues at local level and PwC’s global network.
The candidate will receive full training both on the job and through formal training modules and will sit within the group so that they have a daily mentor to assist with tasks. The graduate role will involve getting involved in various projects throughout the year and each day may have a different set of tasks, so that by the end of the 3 years you will have a broad knowledge of Company Law and the Company Secretarial role.
Specific areas of responsibility include:
- Filing of Board and General Minutes
- Assist with Risk Management processes
- Assisting with the administration of share schemes
- Attendance at meetings with more senior team member and preparing minutes for review
- Supporting team with corporate transactions including preparation of statutory forms
- Participating in special projects
- Update Company Secretarial software package
- Filing of documentation with Companies Registration Office
- Maintaining Register of beneficial ownerships for client companies to include all associated filings.
