What is SRTA at Deloitte?

Deloitte Ireland’s Strategy, Risk & Transaction Advisory (SRTA) function provides clients with expert guidance to navigate complex business challenges and opportunities. The team specialises in delivering strategic insights, managing enterprise risks, and supporting critical transactions including mergers, acquisitions, and divestitures. By combining deep industry knowledge with advanced analytics and innovative solutions, SRTA helps organisations enhance decision-making, optimise performance, and achieve sustainable growth in a dynamic market environment. The function works collaboratively across Deloitte’s global network to deliver tailored, end-to-end advisory services that drive value and mitigate risk for clients. Among these teams are:

  • Forensics & Financial Crime: Investigates fraud, corruption, and financial misconduct to protect organisations.
  • Mergers & Acquisition: Advises on buying, selling, and integrating businesses to maximise value.
  • Restructuring & Turnaround: Helps companies improve performance and manage financial distress.
  • Infrastructure & Real Estate: Provides advisory on property investments, transactions, and infrastructure projects.
  • Regulatory, Financial and Enterprise Risk: Assesses and manages compliance, financial, and operational risks.
  • Strategy & Business Design: Develops business strategies and designs operating models for growth and efficiency.

What Does a SRTA Intern Do?

A Strategy, Risk & Transactions Advisory intern at Deloitte Ireland typically supports project teams by assisting in the analysis, research, and delivery of advisory services across strategy, risk management, and transaction-related engagements. Their responsibilities may include gathering and analysing data, preparing presentations and reports, conducting market and industry research, and helping to identify risks and opportunities for clients. Interns collaborate with experienced professionals to develop insights that inform strategic decisions, support due diligence processes, and contribute to risk assessments. This role offers valuable exposure to real client projects, fostering skills in problem-solving, communication, and teamwork within a fast-paced, client-focused environment.

What we are looking for

We welcome students from all academic backgrounds, including accounting, business, law, science, technology, engineering, and maths, who are: 

  • Academic Achievement: On track for, or have achieved, a 2.1 honors degree or higher.  
  • Work Eligibility: Legal right to work in the Republic of Ireland.
  • Skillset: Demonstrated numerical fluency, leadership potential, creative problem-solving, and strong communication skills.
