Internship
Role Overview: We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Accounting Intern to join our team. This internship offers hands-on experience in various accounting functions within a supportive environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the preparation and completion of annual financial statements for sole traders, partnerships, and limited companies.
- Support the preparation and filing of income tax and corporation tax returns.
- Help with the preparation, review, and submission of VAT returns and RCT submissions.
- Participate in bookkeeping and payroll processing tasks.
- Conduct analytical and reconciliation work, including debtor, creditor, and bank reconciliations.
- Record sales and purchase invoices promptly.
- Liaise with Revenue on behalf of clients to address and resolve issues.
- Maintain accurate financial records and assist in managing client files.
- Assist in Anti-Money Laundering (AML) compliance record-keeping.
Skills & Experience Required:
- Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a relevant accounting or finance program.
- Strong understanding of basic accounting principles and Irish tax laws.
- Proficiency with accounting software (e.g., BrightBooks, Dext, Thesaurus Accounts, CORE, and ROS) and MS Office (Excel, Word).
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
