Analytical Intern

This one year internship is offered in the Analytical Solutions Group of Henkel Ireland Operations and Research Ltd, Tallaght, Dublin.

As part of your Henkel Analytical Internship, you will be mentored throughout your internship and may be exposed to a range of technologies. Analysis is carried out in support of our basic Research groups, Product development, Manufacturing and Technical service and is investigative problem solving rather than quality control.

Some of your duties may include:

• To carry out Analytical testing which will focus on Potentiometric/Thermometric and Karl Fischer Titrations along with Colourimetry. Other techniques may be required by Henkel business needs.
• To assist in the development of new Methodology, Technology or Know-how necessary to support and grow the R&D technology activities in Dublin.
• To participate in the 5S and My Green Lab programs and any other quality system as required.

Potential candidates should have the below attributes:

• Current student or recent graduate of Analytical Chemistry/Chemistry/Material Science or equivalent. Students/graduates at Masters level are preferred.
• Knowledge required in Chemistry and Analytical Chemistry.
• Creativity, innovation and problem solving skills required.
• Work in project team activities to achieve high quality and timeliness of delivery according to procedures.
• Ability to communicate well at all levels including customers and other functions within Henkel, presenting papers both internally and externally as appropriate.
