The Role

As an Associate, you will assist in preparing financial reports for regulated investment funds and investment vehicles domiciled in the US, Ireland, Luxembourg, the UK, Singapore, the Cayman Islands, Australia, France, and Hong Kong.

Associate - Training Contract Limerick city, Cork city or Bantry, Co. Cork

What you will be doing

  • Preparation of financial statements for clients
  • Preparation of financial highlights disclosures for financial statements
  • Preparation of management accounts on a periodic basis (monthly/quarterly/etc.)
  • Preparation of Excel schedules and notes as support for financial statements
  • Liaising with external parties in relation to financial statements, including investment managers, administrators, auditors, and other service providers
  • Presenting financial statements for review to the Practice Manager/Principal
  • Assisting with research of complicated transactions to ensure correct accounting treatment

What will you need

  • Related Honours degree
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to plan, prioritise between tasks and adhere to strict time deadlines
  • Ability to work on own initiative
  • Some industry experience in an accounting role would be an advantage
  • Academic knowledge of IFRS and GAAP accounting principles would be an advantage
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office 365
  • A keen interest in learning and in career progression
