We have several work streams for you to experience which help EY clients on matters including improving their processes/governance policies and establishing future focused control strategies.
Across all the work streams, you will be given the opportunity, as you grow in your career, to lead meetings, identify issues, and propose solutions. You will work with different people from different levels and be exposed to different environments.
As a graduate, you will be fully supported at every stage of your development. From onboarding and training to hands-on experience and mentorship with our buddy and counsellor program, we are committed to providing the guidance, resources, and encouragement you need to thrive in your role and grow your career.
What you will do on the EY Technology Risk - IT Controls Assurance Graduate Programme
- Start your career in a team where your work makes an impact from day one. You’ll support large comprehensive audits for major clients, reviewing IT systems and business controls—like IT General Controls (ITGCs) and IT Automated Controls (ITACs), to provide comfort to the Audit Partners so they can rely on the integrity of the financial reporting data.
- You’ll take part in client meetings and process reviews, working directly with teams to understand how they use key applications under the main processes manage access, change and IT operations. This hands-on experience will not only help to build professional relationships but also give you valuable insight into how technology supports core business functions.
- As more companies rely on third-party SaaS providers, you’ll assess controls in fast-paced, tech-driven environments. Your work will help build trust in the systems behind the services people use every day. You will learn to apply best practice control frameworks to produce reports (SOC Reports) that are relied upon by users of the products offered by the third party.
- Looking ahead, our team is exploring opportunities in emerging technologies. As advanced technology is becoming a huge aspect of core business processes, we’re helping clients ensure their systems are well-governed and reliable—an exciting space for graduates to grow and innovate.
- You’ll be supported throughout your entire journey with structured training, hands-on experience, and mentorship to help you build a strong foundation in IT audit and assurance.
What we look for:
- You have an agile, growth-oriented mindset. What you know matters. But the right mindset is just as important in determining success. We’re looking for people who are innovative, can work in an agile way and keep pace with a rapidly changing world.
- You are curious and purpose driven. We’re looking for people who see opportunities instead of challenges, who ask better questions to seek better answers.
- You are inclusive. We’re looking for people who seek out and embrace diverse perspectives, who value differences, and team inclusively to build safety and trust.
- You have excellent communication skills and can clearly articulate your ideas, designs, and suggestions.
- Qualifications: While STEM, Computer Science or Business is beneficial, we welcome graduates from all backgrounds and disciplines who are on track to achieve a 2:1 or higher in their degree. English is the business language of our firm. To ensure all candidates can fully participate in our programmes and workplace, we require evidence of proficiency in both written and spoken English.
What’s in it for you:
- At EY, your wellbeing is our priority. We offer a variety of programs to support you in caring for your own wellbeing and that of your colleagues, including hybrid working options, sports and social clubs, financial wellbeing programme, employee assistance programme and regular wellbeing and Team events.
- Our EY Graduate Induction Journey will equip you with the critical business, digital and professional skills needed to succeed at EY. Over your first 90 days you will build your foundational skills to start working with clients through a blend of immersive in-person learning experiences, virtual workshops and bite-sized learning content. Throughout this journey you will connect with your fellow graduates from across the firm, network with leaders and technical experts and be supported by your buddy, career counsellor and manager.

You’ll also have access to EY Badges—our global learning initiative that lets you choose and earn digital credentials in emerging and future focused skills like data, sustainability and AI.
