Sygma Automation specialises in the supply and maintenance of BMS, KNX Lighting and Fire Alarm Systems.

We are currently looking for a graduate design engineer who has excellent interpersonal and organisational skills. You will be a vital part of the team and will be helping contribute to the continued growth of Sygma Automation.

The person will be responsible for production and editing of building management systems schematics using Autodesk and SEE Electrical software for senior design engineers and project managers.

Job Description

• Utilisation of CAD software to generate and edit detailed BMS schematics for BMS projects.
• Understanding of programming software packages and their implementation in building controls.
• Collaboration with consultants and project managers to ensure alignment with project requirements and deadlines.
• Assist in the development of design documentation, including equipment schedules, wiring diagrams, and equipment specifications.
• Review and revise drawings as necessary to incorporate feedback and changes throughout the project lifecycle.
• Generation of handover documentation for project completion.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or certification in CAD design, engineering or related fields showing ability to learn new software and understand technical concepts is preferred.
• Experience as a CAD technician or familiarity with building systems, HVAC, electrical systems, and BMS concepts is highly desirable.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD or SEE Electrical is an advantage.
• Excellent attention to detail with the ability to produce accurate drawings and documentation.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines.
• Knowledge of industry standards and regulations related to building codes, energy efficiency, and sustainability is a plus.
