Graduate Quality Assistant 

This is a permanent, in person appointment located at our site in Clonakilty. Clonakilty Food Company is a family-owned business, located in the heart of West Cork. We are passionate about bringing our family of great tasting products into homes here in Ireland and abroad.

About the role:

Full time position
Reporting to the Quality Manager the successful candidate will develop and implement the 
quality management systems on site.
Some key responsibilities for the role are:
 

• To develop, implement & maintain the company Quality Management System.
• Maintenance of HACCP system, BRC accreditation and traceability records.
• Legislative compliance in all matters relating to food manufacturing & related logistics.
• Managing shelf life testing, transit testing, packaging/labelling appearance verification & 
  product specs.
• Monitoring and checking plant, develop & execute site audits schedules including fabrication 
  & hygiene, related staff training to maintain highest standards.
• Supplier NC co-ordination and dealing with customer complaints.
• Ensure documentation compliance and filing system up to date.
• Liaise with suppliers/ customers & conducting supplier audits as required.
• Liaison with Agriculture Department Vets ongoing re quality standards, compliance issues and 
  export certificates.
• Conduct goods in, process and dispatch checks.
• Supporting the Quality Manager as required.

Basic requirements for the role:

• Third level qualification in Food Science or equivalent experience in industry.
• Previous experience in BRC & other quality systems an advantage.
• The ability to work well individually and integrate well with teams.
• High level computer literacy.
• Strong Interpersonal skills and professional skills to interact at all levels including senior 
  management, colleagues, customers and clients.
• Committed attitude with the ability to display initiative and make decisions/problem solver.
