The Role

Following successful completion of the Managed Service training programme and with mentorship from their direct supervisor, the Junior Electronic Health Record (EHR) Analyst will work closely with Nordic clients providing support in EHR application managed services .

In this role, the Junior EHR analyst will continue to grow their technical and soft skills performing their day to day work with oversight and assistance from more senior colleagues. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to advance their knowledge and skills to grow as a healthcare technology professional.

Key Responsibilities

The Junior EHR Analyst will be responsible for, but not be limited to:

Application Managed Services

  • Performing troubleshooting and problem-solving within their application to ensure the integrity, integration, and stability of EHR applications for Nordic’s clients.
  • Fulfilling system requests from clients by performing issue analysis within their application, translating needs into detailed requirement specifications, and performing system build and testing, using appropriate judgment in escalating issues and challenges to more senior Application Coordinators.
  • Monitoring system error queues, troubleshooting errors, and taking the necessary actions to resolve errors.
  • Participating in system upgrades and testing at the direction of more senior Application Coordinators.
  • Developing and maintaining detailed documentation on system configurations and build.

Project & Issue Management

  • Accurately completing up-to-date documentation in relevant project management tool(s) or ticketing system(s), regarding matters such as project deliverables or requests processed and incidents solved, while still meeting the client’s project plan, key performance metrics or service level agreements (SLAs).
  • Following proper change control policies as relevant to the project.
  • Proactively supporting with the identification and management of risks and issues
  • Maintaining awareness of unique client build and process, managing open issues in a ticketing system, and monitoring client-specific emails and calendars.

Teamwork & Customer Service

  • Providing outstanding customer service by delivering high quality support, and valuing and building relationships with client staff.
  • Effectively developing and maintaining long-term healthy customer peer-level relationships
  • Contributing to a supportive team culture of collaboration where everyone is focused on the overall goals of delivering high quality and timely results to clients.
  • Adapting their own focuses of time and energy, under the guidance of management, to deliver on the most important priorities.
  • Working on projects that may be assigned on an ad hoc basis, and assisting in other internal initiatives as necessary, directed, assigned, or requested.
  • Meeting or exceeding utilization or productivity targets
  • Assisting in the onboarding of new team members to team, including orienting to unique client configurations and processes and introducing employees to client counterparts.
  • Maintaining a positive, professional attitude and proactive approach

Skills and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) required, with a preference in business, healthcare or life sciences, ICT or related field
  • Exceptional ability to utilize Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Visio and other tools to support general project management activities.
  • Superior oral and written communication skills; ability to present and facilitate information in a small group setting.
  • Well-developed problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Avid team player with ability to lead, participate in, and support successful teams while also being able to work independently.
  • Must demonstrate and embody Nordic’s maxims
  • Flexible; able to quickly adapt to working with different employees, clients, and changing priorities
  • Exceptional organization skills with good attention to detail
  • Strong customer service skills
