Placement Interior Designer

We specialize in private residential and commercial interiors, with an extensive portfolio that has won wide recognition in Ireland and abroad. We are currently seeking a talented and enthusiastic autumn placement student to join our expanding studio. The successful candidate should have completed at least two years of an undergraduate degree program in architecture or interior design, and have a passion for creating beautiful spaces.

RESPONSIBILITIES & JOB OVERVIEW:

As a Placement Designer, you will work closely with our Senior Interior Designer and the rest of the team, assisting in delivering multiple projects from conception stages through to completion. You will have the opportunity to learn and contribute to various aspects of the design process, from producing initial ideas and concepts, to creating mood boards and selecting finishes, to producing presentation drawings and visuals. You will also have the opportunity to assist in project management, attend site meetings, and coordinate with external consultants and suppliers.

Detailed responsibilities include:

• Assisting in producing initial ideas, concepts, and mood boards independently and as part of a team
• Assisting in producing presentation drawings and visuals
• Assisting in FF&E selection and specification
• Assisting in project management, including attending site meetings and coordinating with external consultants and suppliers
• Supporting the Senior Interior Designer and the team in delivering projects from conception stages through to completion
• Assisting in sourcing and ordering
• Assisting in the production of innovative social media & blog posts

REQUIREMENTS:

• Currently enrolled in an undergraduate degree program in architecture or interior design, with at least two years completed
• Strong passion for interior design
• Excellent attention to detail
• Ability to work on their own initiative, bringing ideas & solutions to the team and work as part of a team
• Fluency in spoken and written English with additional languages a plus
• Strong client-facing and presentation skills, as well as efficiently liaising with suppliers/vendors & onsite trades keeping good working relationships
• Ability to multitask and meet deadlines
