WFirst 2027

WFirst is a one-day insight programme for first- and second-year college students. It gives you the chance to experience life at one of Ireland’s leading corporate law firms and see what a legal career at William Fry looks like.

Whether you are curious about a career in law or keen to build your professional skills, WFirst gives you practical insight into the work, the people and the opportunities at William Fry. You will leave with new connections and a clearer picture of the early career pathways open to you.

What you will experience on the day

Firm overview: Discover the firm’s story, from its founding in 1847 to its home at 2 Grand Canal Square, and learn about our people, practice areas and clients. You will also hear about our early career pathways, including the Legal and Tax Summer Internships, the College Placement Programme and the Traineeship Programme.

Skills workshop: Delivered by our award-winning Professional Development Team, this interactive workshop uses collaborative exercises and real-world scenarios to test your legal knowledge, commercial awareness and client care skills.

CV and LinkedIn masterclass: Practical guidance on building a standout LinkedIn profile, developing your personal brand and structuring a CV that highlights your strengths.

A day in the life panel: Current trainees and College Placement students share their experiences of our programmes, and you can ask them your questions directly.

Work shadowing: You will close the day by shadowing a trainee and seeing first-hand how they manage their work, collaborate with colleagues and contribute to client matters.
