Our Graduate Programme

At a glance, our Graduate Programme offers:

  • Flexible working: We offer flexible, hybrid working to help you thrive - we typically ask colleagues to spend 8 days per month in person.
  • Pay & benefits: Our graduates earn above the market average and benefit from other financial perks such as a company pension scheme.
  • Rotation opportunities: Most of our programme streams include rotations across different areas of the business, giving our graduates broader exposure and experience.
  • Your wellbeing: At Bank of Ireland, your wellbeing matters. Alongside 23 days of annual leave and access to our employee assistance programme, we offer a range of other great benefits to support you inside and outside of work.
  • Focus on growth: We don't believe that learning should stop when you leave university. Your growth will be supported with development programmes like our Group Education Scheme, helping you to thrive from day one.
  • Community & connection: Every graduate is matched with a buddy who has already completed a year or two of the same programme. You'll also have access to our digital Graduate Hangout to connect, share and problem-solve with your peers.

Our values, our culture

Our purpose is to enable our customers, colleagues and communities to thrive.

We have four key values:

  1. Customer focused: Everything we do is for our customers. Our business is designed around them. We believe that their success is our success.

  2. Better together: We achieve more when we work together. We collaborate, share ideas, challenge thinking, and learn from one another.

  3. Take ownership: We are trusted and supported to deliver the commitments we make. We accept responsibility for our decisions and actions.

  4. Be decisive: We exercise good judgement, avoid complexity and work smarter together to get to the solution quickly and efficiently.

More than just a career

Our purpose is to enable our customers, colleagues, and communities to thrive. That starts with a workplace where everyone feels valued, supported and empowered. We're passionate about investing in career development, wellbeing, and a strong sense of belonging.

To support this, we’ve created seven Employee Support Networks focused on inclusion, diversity, and community. Open to all, they offer great opportunities to connect, learn, and make a difference.

Whether you're just starting out or looking to grow, there's a place for you here - and plenty of ways to get involved beyond your day-to-day role.

Who we’re looking for

We welcome applicants from all academic disciplines and backgrounds. What matters most is your curiosity, drive, and potential to grow with us.
