The recruitment process

Applications for our Graduate Programme should be sent to gradscheme@cie.ie where they will be screened, successful candidates will be invited to attend an interview, the first phase will be carried out remotely and will followed up by an in person interview at our offices in Heuston Station.

Equality and diversity

CIÉ recognises, respects, promotes, and celebrates the value of diversity. We adopt and implement inclusive policies and strategies which advance diversity as a positive force in the life of our company. CIÉ appreciates that diversity and inclusion bring substantial benefits to the workplace to ensure all employees develop to their full potential and the talents and resources of the workforce are fully utilised

CIÉ is committed to creating an inclusive workplace where different ideas, experiences and skills are welcome. CIÉ understands that embracing these differences enriches our workplace and contributes towards creating a dynamic work environment

Sustainability

At CIÉ Group, sustainability is central to our strategic purpose. Our goal is to drive sustainable business, helping to meet the national targets set out in the Climate Action Plan 2024 and supporting the achievement of the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

The CIÉ Group sustainability strategy is a plan of action centred around the three pillars of sustainability: social, economic, and environmental. Our targets and sustainability initiatives are framed within ten action areas, including biodiversity, diversity and equal opportunity, and energy efficiency. To ensure a holistic and global view of sustainability we have designed our strategy to align with the UN SDGs and Irish and European Union (EU) climate policy.
