Aon Graduate Programme 2026 – Risk Capital – Financial Lines & Professional Services Graduate

Have you completed your third level degree in Business, Economics, Insurance, Risk Management or equivalent fields or are you on track to achieve it? Are you interested in playing a critical role in the growth of the cross functional operational team? This is a permanent, full-time hybrid role with the flexibility to work both virtually and from our Dublin office.

Although our working arrangement is hybrid, this role is based in Dublin, Ireland. We expect team members to be present in the office 3–4 days per week, particularly during the initial months of employment to support onboarding and training. If you are currently based outside of County Dublin, we encourage you to consider the potential need for relocation or a manageable commute to ensure regular office attendance.

Our selection process is designed to be fair, transparent, and engaging. It typically includes the following steps:

1. Online Assessment – Candidates will be invited to complete an online assessment during the first week of November 2025.
2. In-Person Assessment Centre – Shortlisted candidates will be invited to attend an in-person assessment day at our Dublin office, expected to take place towards the end of November or in the first half of December.

About Risk Capital and Financial & Professional Services Team

Our world is becoming increasingly unpredictable. Businesses and communities are facing a rapidly evolving range of interconnected risks such as cyber and climate. Our clients require a new way to understand, mitigate and transfer volatility in fundamental areas like property and casualty risk. Our Risk Capital advisors bring the breadth of our expertise, relationships and analytics to unlock capital, which we access across markets, geographies and a variety of financial instruments to help organisations grow.

Within our dedicated Financial Lines & Professional Services Team you will work with firms across a wide variety of industries, including but not limited to financial institutions, life sciences, professions and construction. The exposure across our Commercial Risk business will provide you with the tools and knowledge to pursue a career path in either Cyber or Financial Lines.

What the Risk Capital Graduate Programme will look like

The Risk Capital Graduate Programme will commence in Summer 2026 (typically August) and has been designed to identify and support the development of key future talent. As such, we are looking for individuals who demonstrate a genuine interest, drive and potential to build a lasting career at Aon.

As a member of Aon’s Graduate ‘Launch’ programme, you will have the opportunity to participate in business sponsored projects and network with a large cohort of Graduates across the Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) region. This will include programme kickoff in either our London office or another office in the EMEA region.

You will gain exposure to all aspects of our business through in-role learning opportunities, participation in specific projects and the opportunity to work with key partners across the Aon business, gaining knowledge and insight into our world of Risk Capital.

What the day will look like

As a Commercial Risk Graduate in the F&PS tram, you will be working as part of the wider Commercial Risk team to contribute to delivering high quality client services. Main responsibilities include:

• Communicating with clients and colleagues at all business levels
• Liaising with clients and participating in client discovery meetings
• Participating in insurer market meeting calls
• Carrying out premium and claims reporting and analysis
• Collaborating with other functions, e.g., Actuarial, Finance and Compliance
• Collaborating closely with third-party service providers, including loss adjusters, brokers, auditors, and actuaries
• Participating in the renewal of insurance policies.

Skills and experience that will lead to success

• Educational background in Business, Economics, Computer Science, Data Science, Risk Management and Insurance or any related field
• Naturally curious, enthusiastic, and highly motivated to learn and find solutions; desire to develop and share knowledge through collaborating with others
• Interest in pursuing ACII qualification
• Strong attention to detail and an analytical mindset
• Openness to taking on different projects and challenges and the persistence to deliver the best solution and bring the best of Aon to clients
• Independent thinking, an ability to show initiative and take the lead, as well as a creative and positive mindset.
