Overview
PepsiCo Internship Programme is 6-8 month program designed for high potential undergraduate students, just like you, into real life business impact roles – with the goal to best prepare you for a successful future. We are now looking to hire a H&S Intern to join the team in Cork, Ireland starting next year for the duration of 6 months.
Who We are:
- We are the concentrate team in PepsiCo (PGCS) working across the Beverage, Nutrition and Snacks categories to deliver concentrate for many of PepsiCo’s mega brands including Gatorade, 7Up and Pepsi.
- We are at the heart of PepsiCo products, sourcing ingredients to manufacture more than 1,200 recipes for our brands.
- We are a global organisation, situated in 15 locations across 6 countries offering careers in various functions from Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Procurement, Quality, Finance, R&D, HR and IT.
- We collaborate in our fast-paced global organisation and are passionate about creating and delivering much-loved household brands to markets across the world.
Responsibilities
Responsibilities include:
- Supporting the day-to-day operations of the EHS Department by:
- Proactively championing EHS, and safe working practices across the company’s activities and operations.
- Working collaboratively and cross functionally with the various Departments by providing EHS updates, support and advice to colleagues.
- Assisting with reporting, investigating and recording of accident, incident, near-miss and good catch data promptly, ensuring corrective actions are identified and tracked to implementation.
- Conducting safety inspections and risk assessments as required, ensuring appropriate action plans in place
- Supporting the EHS training programme by delivering safety induction and other EHS training for new and existing employees and maintaining training records.
- Supporting the tracking and reporting of EHS KPI’s/ metrics
- Updating and maintaining EHS documentation
- Partnering with Departments to accomplish site EHS objectives
- Actively participating in site EHS committee meetings.
- Providing general support and assistance to the EHS Manager
Qualifications
Essential Criteria:
- Undertaking a bachelor’s or master’s degree in an Environmental, Health, Safety (EHS) field or related discipline.
- Good communication & analytical skills.
- Team Player.
- Excellent people skills.
- Good organisational and problem-solving skills.
- Self-starter, self-sufficient and eager to learn.
- Strong IT Skills in Word & Excel.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality
