What are GradSims?

GradSims essentially allow you experience part of a day in the life of a graduate recruit at a major employer. We take you a step closer to the world of work, giving you a behind-the-scenes look at different job roles through real-life tasks and informative insider videos. With GradSims, you can gain valuable insights and resources that will help you develop your skills at your own pace to help give you a better chance at landing your dream job.

How do I access GradSims?

Like everything else on gradireland, GradSims is completely free to access, all you need is a gradireland account. If you don’t have one, register here .

How do you I complete a GradSim?

One you’ve logged in, you'll start with viewing a short video, where a graduate in the role will share their insights and career story. Then you can complete a real-life task, provided by the company, and compare your work with model answers. You can then access further resources relevant to your role and get priority access to jobs with that company.

How long does it take?

Each GradSims should take approximately 30 minutes to complete. However, we always recommend you do your own research. So visit the company’s organisation hub on gradireland and read and watch the relevant material there. Of course, it’s completely up to you how long you take to complete the GradSim and explore the further resources at the end of it.

What do you get for completing a GradSim?

After completing the GradSim, you’ll have the opportunity to opt into receiving further information about roles within that company. You’ll also be the first to hear about other roles in the company from gradireland.
