Muireann Farrelly, Investor Relations Associate at Kingspan

Q.1 What does your job involve?

In my role as an investor associate I work closely with our Head of IR fostering existing relationships with current and prospective investors, along with this I maintain and review our sector peers across capital markets. My job is diverse, fast moving with no one day being the same. You never know what a day will bring.

Q.2 What is the most interesting project you’ve been involved in?

I have been very privileged to have been involved in a number of different projects since joining the group. One of the most interesting projects I have been involved with is ‘The Annual Report’. The IR Team head up the creative design and overall project management of ‘The Annual Report’.

From the initial theme briefing and planning call, to the final completed report, this is a very hands on project which enabled me with great responsibility and agility working with different teams, with different deadlines towards one ultimate goal.

Q.3 What advice would you give to new Graduates joining our Company?

Kingspan is what you make it and it’s up-to you, to utilise and take the opportunities that come your way with both hands. My advice would be, to believe in yourself and trust that you can achieve anything you put your mind to.

Q.4 What excites you most about Kingspan?

Kingspan’s phenomenal commitment to Planet Passionate is a key standout attribute of the group which generates significant exposure and excitement. Kingspan is playing a part in driving energy and carbon out of our business operations and supply chain, as well as increasing our recycling of rainwater and waste, while also accelerating our participation in the circular economy.

The IR team and Plant Passionate Teams work closely across the year tracking the group’s performance against targets across these four focus areas which is then captured and reported across global corporate sustainability trackers, our Planet Passionate Report and our Annual Report, all of which are key for investors across financial markets. They enable the investment community to make better decisions for a better world which I feel Kingspan contributes greatly to.
