What does your job involve?

As a quality engineer it’s my job to ensure that the business meets regulatory requirements and also drives continuous improvement. On a daily basis I monitor the issues that present themselves on the production line and analyse the subsequent data.

What skills are important to be successful?

The skills required in my role are problem solving, project management and inter-personal skills. As a quality engineer, following procedures and guidelines is very important.

What do you love about your job?

I love that Boston Scientific is such a vibrant, enjoyable and challenging environment to work in. Everyone is friendly and helpful, and no two days are the same. I really love being part of such a supportive team. Every decision we make brings us one step closer to changing the life of a patient.

How did you get into your job?

I applied for the graduate programme through Grad Ireland. From there I was called to attend an assessment centre in Clonmel where we took verbal and numerical reasoning tests and group exercises. After the assessment I was lucky enough to be called for an interview, and here I am!
