Manufacturing and processing careers for graduates: fast moving consumer goods (FMCG).

Fast moving consumer goods (FMCG; also known as consumer packaged goods or CPG) are defined as products with a rapid shelf turnover. This includes low-cost items such as food, drink, toiletries and cosmetics.

This sector can be a good career choice for graduates because it’s a fast moving and dynamic industry that offers plenty of scope for progression. Graduates choosing careers in this sector may find themselves working with leading brands produced by multinationals and Irish manufacturers.

FMCG manufacturers and distributors have a long established record of recruiting into graduate training programmes. They may also recruit directly into functions relevant to the graduate’s specialism, including sales, marketing, HR, finance, IT, product development, quality assurance, R&D and supply chain management.
