Representing Kerry at the One Young World global summit for young leaders

One Young World is a unique organization that sets out to identify and connect young leaders from all over the globe, inspiring and equipping them to enact positive change in the world. It all starts with attendance at the annual summit, held each year in the most inspiring cities and locations around the world. Delegates, funded by organisations, NGO’s or scholarships, come together to solve for the most important issues of our time.

At Kerry we care deeply about nurturing socially aware young leaders. Each year we sponsor a group of graduates to attend the One Young World summit, selecting those who have the passion and drive to make a meaningful impact within our organisation and beyond.

In 2024 we selected 3 outstanding individuals to represent Kerry on this global stage: Fiona McArthur, Eimhear Smith and Hailey Kitchell, representing both our European and North American graduate programmes. Together they travelled to Montreal, Canada, for four days of inspiration and connection at the One Young World summit.

During the summit they had the chance to hear keynote talks from CEOs, world leaders, and fellow delegates. They took part in action sessions to develop strategies for implementing the summit's insights into their work, dived deep into specific topics of interest, and partook in numerous networking opportunities with like-minded individuals from across the globe.

The 2024 summit focused on five key issues voted as being of greatest concern to our Gen Z leaders of the future: elevating Indigenous Voices, the Climate and Ecological Crisis, Artificial Intelligence, Health Equality, and Peace.
After the summit, delegates become lifelong ambassadors for One Young World, gaining access to a wealth of resources that empower them to drive positive change.
