What and where do you study?

I study software development student at the Munster Technological University, and I am currently pursuing my final year.

Why did you apply for an Internship at NetApp?

I applied for an internship at NetApp because I thought that the job specification was particularly interesting, it was directly related to my course because it was software development even though it was in the Technical Support Department. I saw this internship as a great opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a global company. Furthermore, NetApp’s fresh appearance here in Cork was great as I knew there would be a lot of fresh minds.

What kind of work have you been doing as a TSE intern?

Contrary to what my title suggests, my role has been more aligned with software development rather than technical support. I have been involved in supporting our technical support team through automation and improving accessibility to our product knowledge, issues, and solutions. This has involved automating tasks and ensuring our knowledge base is easily accessible and up to date with our latest data.

What is the culture like at NetApp?

The culture at NetApp is incredibly welcoming and inclusive. From my first day, I was made to feel like a valued member of the team. My manager and colleagues treated me as an equal, entrusting me with responsibilities that a full-time employee would typically handle. This inclusive and supportive environment has been crucial in helping me gain valuable experience and grow professionally.
