Last updated: 14 Sept 2023, 10:47

I have grown up in PepsiCo (although some may dispute that!) and 19 years later I still love coming in to work every-day, with a brilliant global network of friends & colleagues.

How long have you been in PepsiCo what is your current role?

I joined PepsiCo on the finance graduate program in June 2004 so celebrating my 19th year with the company. My current role is Site Lead and Manufacturing Director for our Carrigaline facility.

Tell us a bit about the path that led you to where you are today?

Although I’m now a recovering accountant, Finance was a great starting point to learn the business. In 2010 I took a big leap of faith moving to our Supply Chain hub. I worked across multiple Supply Chain roles, my favourite being Customer Relationship Manager for Middle East Africa (known as MEA at that time).

Since then, I have worked in Procurement, Global Supply Chain, Strategy, Transformation and in 2020, I was delighted to take up the role as Manufacturing Director for the Carrigaline plant

What does your role involve?

A little bit of everything! As site lead, that covers all aspects of Operations, Maintenance, Quality, EHS, Capital projects, Compliance, and everything in between, to ensure we deliver excellent service to our customers. That responsibility extends to the safety of our employees and the community in which we operate.

What are some of the most exciting opportunities facing your part of PepsiCo right now?

The pep+ agenda has given us an open-door opportunity to transform our impact on the environment around us. Our site has just commissioned the largest Solar PV rooftop installation in the country and are leading the way in GHG reductions, through piloting low carbon biofuels. It’s fantastic to see so many employees genuinely passionate about these initiatives.

What would you say to someone thinking of following in your footsteps and pursuing a role at PepsiCo?

The opportunities are endless – if you want to learn and grow, this is the place to be. Pepsi is an iconic brand known around the world & through various roles it has taken me from Arlington to Argentina, from Dublin to Dubai, from New York to Singapore.

With over 300,000 employees and a presence in every corner of the globe, you will never be bored!

What advice would you give to a graduate thinking of applying for one of our grad roles?

Same answer as above!

What do you enjoy most about working for PepsiCo?
