Who are we?

Are there any fees associated with the job opportunity?

Under no circumstances are there any fees associated with our job offerings. We are not a third party or agency we are directly recruiting graduates for our schools. We offer an attractive package and we cover all visa and flight costs to our schools.

What is the general profile of the applicants we are interested in attracting?

We are looking for individuals who are motivated, passionate about teaching, and looking for a challenging life-long career in education. The right candidate must have planning, organizational, and time management skills, and should be able to motivate, and inspire students and work as a member of a team.

What disciplines/majors are we interested in?

University graduates and final-year students of all disciplines/majors are welcome to apply. If you do not have the teaching qualifications, you will have the opportunity to do it while working with us.

Do we accept applicants who do not have degrees in Education or experience in
teaching?

Yes, we do. Teaching qualifications and experience are not essential in some schools but essential in others. The rules are not decided by us; it is decided by the local government regulations.

Do we have career opportunities for students from all nationalities?

Definitely. Our schools are international, we have teachers from all over the world, and so do our students

We are primarily looking to fill teaching vacancies by suitably qualified people in the following areas:

a. Kindergarten/Early childhood education: class teaching
b. Primary/Elementary school: English & Social Studies.
c. Secondary school: English & Social Studies.

Where are these jobs located?

- United Arab Emirates: Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Sharjah, Al Ain, Al Ruwais, Ras Al Khaimah, Um Al Quwain, Ajman - Qatar: Doha - Oman: Muscat, Bahrain: Manama.

What is the academic year like? Will the holidays be the same as back home?

The academic year runs the same as back home – 3 terms with similar vacations. You will also have the national holidays of the country you are working in.

How will I know where I will be placed if I am successful in the interview?

You will be asked to choose 4 locations in order of preference of where our schools are. Please do your research beforehand. You will be placed in 1 of 4 schools of your choice where there is a suitable vacancy.

What does a typical day look like for a teacher?

30 hours’ work-week, spread across 5 days. 20 min coffee break in the morning – classes
– lunch break – afternoon session. The first lesson starts at 8 am and the last lesson ends at 3 or 4 pm, depending on the level of the students.

How much money do I need to bring when coming over?

You will only need enough money to cover groceries for the month. Groceries mostly cost the same as in the UK and Ireland, and you can research online grocery shops in the UAE to gauge the prices. Carrefour is a popular supermarket in this region.

What are the biggest challenges of this job?

It is of course different for everyone but adapting to living in a different country could be a challenge. We encourage everyone to support one another and discuss any challenges with the school administration, as they are supportive of teaching staff.

Adapting to different education systems in SABIS, it’s structured so it’s important to understand the structure and how to teach using the point system.

How does teaching in Dubai differ from Ireland?

There are many differences, such as the curriculum and subjects taught, but you will find many similarities too.

What is the length of the contract?

The contracts in the UAE are 2 years long as per the labour law, and 1 year in Qatar, Oman, and Bahrain.

But as long as you give the legal notice, you can leave after one year.
