Meet some recent Boston Scientific Grads!

Meet John Gildea, a Graduate Urology R&D Engineer in Clonmel, who studied B.Eng in Biomedical Engineering & M.Eng in Biomedical Engineering from Trinity College Dublin.

Working with the Boston Scientific team in Clonmel has given me the incredible opportunity to develop my skills as an engineer. This time has allowed me to experience the process of developing state-of-the-art urological medical devices from the early concept stage.

The skills gained by working with Boston Scientific’s top-class engineers have made me a better engineer as has the culture of everyday learning and development in which everyone’s opinions are valued and taken into consideration when making key project decisions.

Meet Sean Ryder, Graduate Quality Engineer in Galway that studied Bachelor of Science in Technology Management.

The Quality Graduate Programme has given me the chance to learn about medical device manufacturing and to apply what I have learned in college to the working environment. The programme has also provided me with the opportunity and experience to develop my skills further.

I have been lucky enough to work with some great people here in Boston Scientific Galway which has made my integration into the company easy.

Meet Ronan Lyons a Graduate Manufacturing Engineer in our Cork site.

The Graduate Program has allowed me to greatly improve my technical, communication and project management skills. I have learned a lot during my first year at Boston Scientific. On the Graduate Program, you get continuous training to ensure that you have the tools to work effectively everyday.

Most importantly, the products made here positively impact patient lives every single day and it is nice to be able to contribute to this.

Meet Sarah McGrath, a Graduate Quality Engineer in Clonmel, who studied BSc Biotechnology NUI Galway.

Working as part of the Quality Team in Boston Scientific has given me the opportunity to strengthen my knowledge and develop new skills in relation to the medical device industry. It has equipped me to work in a highly competitive environment that has a great culture, great people and strong core values.
