How did you find out about Mace Graduate Programme?

I found out about the Mace Graduate Programme on gradireland. I was drawn to the Mace brand, vision, culture, projects and the ambition “to redefine the boundaries of ambition.”  My ambition is to develop a successful career in the construction consultancy field, contributing to large-scale meaningful projects in communities and driving innovation. Working at Mace, I am surrounded by experts that challenge and inspire me to achieve my full potential. I was pleased to represent Mace at the gradireland event last year.

What was the recruitment process?

The recruitment process was straightforward. There were useful tips provided to prepare candidates for the interview and the Mace Team responded promptly to any issues encountered. The assessment centre presented me with the opportunity to demonstrate my capabilities, knowledge and converse with senior leadership team. I experienced the collaboration of diverse teams and thoughts; I gained first-hand experience of what to expect when joining Mace.

How was your transition to Mace?

My transition from a startup to a corporate environment was daunting but soon realised it was nothing to be afraid of. One of the Mace behaviours is Collaboration and that has been evident from the start. My colleagues and senior leadership team always made it clear they were there to help and there was no such thing as a stupid question. I was welcomed to an open, nice, ambitious and learning environment.

My role at Mace has been rewarding and I enjoy making a difference and contributing to projects. I had the chance to collaborate with senior management, colleagues and graduates in Ireland and the UK across different disciplines. I am currently working on the first ever high complex MetroLink project in Dublin. This is an exciting yet groundbreaking sustainable transport project in Ireland. I work in the Construction Logistic department and I love it so far! There is a lot to learn and I am encouraged to bring my creativeness, innovation on board and to remain curious. Best believe, no two days are the same!
